rude

I went there for the first time to celebrate my bday and was cut off within less than an hour of being there because my have a speech impediment and was flushed. But yet the group next to use was extremely loud and talking about how drunk they were but yet served another cocktail. The rest of my group wasn't cut off, just me...first time ever in my life. Had to flag the bartender down to order a drink, she made 2 wrong cocktails. She wouldn't speech to me to why I was cut off, only told my other 2 friends that were with me. Would only go back if that bartender had some education on disabilities.

Below expectations

I would give it 0 stars if i could. Rude staff and if you ask for the owner, you get a drunk man posing as owner. All men and what they say goes. Do not advise, especially for women and better off going to a straight bar where respect is given.

The best music videos

There's no better place to hang out and watch music videos in Philadelphia. It's actually fairly small but not claustrophobic. Yes, it's the gay bar not in the Gayborhood, and it's on a small side street, but don't let that stop you from discovering it for yourself. The new ownership with new name changed a slightly seedy hangout to a place reminiscent of the secretive gay bars of old, but one you'd never be ashamed of going to.

narrow but cute

I liked Stir. Really nice decor. When you first walk in there's a room with a bar that is way too big. It's hard to get by There's another room further on that is more open. Cute seating on one side with toilets with frosted glass doors on the other. Further on still is another (more appropriately sized) bar and a little dance floor. Crowd was festively dressed. It's on a small side street off 17th, a little hard to find at first, and off the beaten gay path, but worth a visit. Check it out.

Great mix at Stir

This is a great bar to meet up with friends or make a few new ones. Located just off of Rittenhouse Square it has an upscale interior. Love the bartenders, good music and the two great owners.
