Film review of "Queeradelphia":
" Whether you are saying goodbye to a misguided friend, rising above a toxic relationship, picking out the perfect mattress, or understanding the importance of a kiss, Queeradelphia is an exciting collection of short films that highlight veteran and emerging filmmakers from the City of Brotherly Love."
Shorts include:
Cool - Joy is stuck in a horrible rut of school, work and abusive girlfriend, until she meets Rayvn who helps put things into perspective and gives her the courage to get her life back on track.
Lucy - It's the last day of school and rebellious teenager Lucy is anxiously awaiting her beautiful photography teacher, Sheila, to come and take her away from her boring suburban world.
Sexy - Relationships can be tricky, but not to Dana and Sunni who have a newfound commitment to each other - except when they disagree on showing how deep their love is.
Spooners - After convincing his husband to retire their lumpy, old futon, Nelson is forced to come out in a huge way, while shopping for a new bed at Drowzy's Mattress World. This charming comedy was directed by Philadelphia native Bryan Horch.
The Night I Died - Philly native Christof Lombard directed this dark, low-budget short about two lovers whose lives have been destroyed by their mutual addiction to drugs.
Unbitten - Shot entirely in Bucks County with a fully local cast, Unbitten is a crazy, supernatural comedy that features three vegan vampires, one stoner water nymph, two evil sorcerers and a mansion lease in limbo.
