2013 Jonathan Lax Scholarship Reception

Join Bread & Roses Community fund as we honor the 2013 Jonathan Lax scholarship recipients! In 1994, local entrepreneur Jonathan Lax established a scholarship fund to help gay men in the Delaware Valley pay for college. Bread & Roses Community Fund has administered the scholarship for almost twenty years, and this year’s Lax scholars are strong partners in our mission for social change. This year, eight local men received scholarships: Edgardo Bueser, D'Angelo Cameron, Ari Flaks, Joshua Freker, Mamun Islam, Mark Seaman, Philip Schecter, and Sina Solati. Come join us to celebrate the accomplishments of these rising gay leaders! The reception will be held at the William Way Community Center on Spruce Street. There will be a short program and light refreshments. Discounted parking is available in the garage at the corner of Juniper and Locust Streets. We hope to see you there!
