Join the staff and Board of the William Way LGBT Community Center for a very special reception to kickoff OutBeat: America's First Queer Jazz Festival, made possible by generous funding from the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage. Enjoy an intimate reception with passed and stationed hors d'oeuvres; complimentary wine, beer, and specialty cocktails; performances by Philadelphia-based jazz musician Dena Underwood and singer-songwriter Jaye Sanders; and a unique opportunity to mingle with six-time Grammy nominee, Fred Hersch, proclaimed by Vanity Fair magazine as, "The most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz over the last decade or so." $100 per ticket.
