Mazzoni Center Trip Philly and Tabu Lounge & Sports Bar honors National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (February 7th 2015) with a very special celebratory event that acknowledges our symbol of courage and hope. We celebrate the courageous African American men and women who maintain resilience while living with HIV. The Real Impact Project also celebrates our leaders and trailblazers who tirelessly continue to contribute their hearts and energy towards the fight against HIV/AIDS, A Special Night that includes: Great Music food, and our community coming together Our special host and supporter is Daniel Theodore Harris of The Black Gay Men's Leadership Council. A special video PSA/Art piece created by TRIPPHILLY, Kemar Jewel (creator of Vogue Train) Philly Director Marcus Neal Gordon Hayward Special guest speaker Louis Farmer A special viewing of The AIDS Memorial Quilt. The Quilt is a powerful visual reminder of the AIDS epidemic which will be coordinated by Terrie Hawkins Most importantly we encourage everyone to know their HIV status! We will be providing free HIV/STD screenings all day during the event.
