The Annual Reminders Block Party will be held noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015, in the heart of the Gayborhood. There will be a formal dedication of the rainbow crosswalks at 13th and Locust Streets at 1pm. They will be dedicated in honor of those who participated in the yearly Annual Reminders picketing at Independence Hall, July 4, 1965 through July 4, 1969. Some of those gay pioneers will be the first to βwalk the rainbow.β
This is an old fashioned block party similar to our OutFest celebration. Spruce Street will remain open. Every business in the Gayborhood will be doing something. There will be fun and games, food and beverages, as well as over 110 partners.
We believe that LGBTQ+ people deserve safe vacations that allow them to be their authentic selves. That's why our City Guides aren't locked behind a paywall. Can you contribute today?
