More about Team Friendly:
Mr. Friendly founder Dave Watt created the organization with a very clear goal in mind—to end the stigma of HIV. After working for years to create a symbol to indicate acceptance of everyone no matter their status, Dave created the iconic Mr. Friendly face as a way to say, “Poz or neg, we are all in this together!” After winning the title of Mr. Michigan Leather in September of 2008, Dave spent his title year traveling to over 40 events to discuss the stigma of HIV and ways to overcome it with people across the country. Now, almost 8 years later, there are local chapters of Team Friendly in close to 20 cities across North America, all working toward the same purpose: to reduce the stigma of HIV, encourage testing, and improve the quality of life for those living with HIV.
