OuTU is a Welcome Week event targeting incoming freshmen and all other new Temple students who identify within the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
The WRC is excited to continue the 2nd year of a tradition we began only last year, our OuTU: Welcome Week Event, which will take place on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
The event connects students with other "Out Owls" from a variety of places within the university to represent the diverse number of opportunities available to our LGBTQIA student...

The WRC is excited to continue the 2nd year of a tradition we began only last year, our OuTU: Welcome Week Event, which will take place on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
The event connects students with other "Out Owls" from a variety of places within the university to represent the diverse number of opportunities available to our LGBTQIA students.
We'll have icebreakers, interactive games, introductions to departmental and organizational resources catered to the LGBTQIA+ community on campus and raffle give aways!!
We will distribute our LGBTQIA resource guide at this event, which features resources, tools and information about navigating life at Temple University as an LGBTQIA+ student.
The WRC and the Queer Committee collaborate with many of our on campus partners such as QPOC, QSU, STAR, FMLA, IDEAL, the office of Residential Life & Housing, the Faculty Senate LGBTQ Services Committee, Equal Opportunity Compliance (EOC), Paley Library and others to offer this program to our incoming students.
We can't wait to meet all of Temple's new Owls!!
