NOM's “FreeSpeechBus” is currently touring the East Coast taking their fear and hatred on the road. This offensive bright orange bus is covered in the message “It’s Biology: Boys are boys…and always will be. Girls are girls…and always will be. You can’t change sex. Respect all.” Allowing this bus to park on our streets while spreading these inaccurate ideas is harmful to our city and the fabric of our community.
Join us to show the love PA has for its trans community members! We want to #PhilOurStreetsWithLove and encourage all with love in their hearts to stand up with us against transphobia, ignorance, and injustice.”
**This event will center the voices of trans people and we encourage cis allies to support with their presence, signs, energy, and love.
The event is a community collaborative effort being supported by the City of Philadelphia's Office of LGBT Affairs, Mayor's Commission on LGBT Affairs, GALAEI, Trans-health Information Project (TIP), Attic Youth Center, William Way, ACLU, Delaware Valley Legacy Fund, Independent Business Alliance, Mazzoni Center, Whosoever Metropolitan Community Church, Philadelphia Family Pride, and other community organizations**
