Building Our Legacy: Creating a Civil Rights Movement among LGBT People of Color
Is there currently a cohesive civil rights movement among LGBTQIA+people of color (POC) in Philadelphia? What needs to happen to strengthen our efforts at cohesion, particularly in light of the current political climate in which LGBTQIA+ rights are being challenged? What can be done about the high rates of homicide among transgender women of color? What is our responsibility to respond in a way that will protect our communities from these oppressive and destructive forces? This discussion will explore these questions and more.
