I don't understand why gay guys find it offensive when all us straight people come to their bars as it's a compliment that all us straight people like hanging around the gay guys as they are a lot of fun to be around & enjoying as I feel offensive that they don't enjoy my company of me,my bf,& my brother as my brother is gay. As I thought it was all free love for everyone.
I went to Woody’s on 6/9/23 and will not be back. The woman at the door was extremely inappropriate/unprofessional and it’s filled with straight people. My friends and I went through security and were told it’d be a $20 cover. I find this ridiculous coming from NYC where there are no/lesser covers. I turned around to leave and my friend paid for me. The woman at the door said I have a good friend and that I should “get a better job” since it’s not that much money. Exact words. She then proceeded to grab me and say it takes a lot of money to run the bar. It makes me assume she’s the owner. Once inside, it was filled with straight people spilling drinks, bumping into others, and making out. On the way out, I watched security throw women back into the bar because they still had drinks. The women shouldn’t have had drinks, but security had no reason to be that forceful.
Horrible
Horrible why is it that a gay bar for men have more straight women and it and straight couples then gay. Why do I feel like the stranger. I go to a gay bar to be called the slur by these people in my gay hood
Was in Philly on vacation a few weeks back, decided we would hit woody's up, heard mostly good things about it. WERE WE WRONG for going. It was a Thursday night, around 9pm, you had to go through a maze of bars they put on the sidewalk, i guess to "control" the people. Before we got in, we were patted down by security, this was the first time in my life we have ever been patted down before going in a club, but i guess better being safe then sorry, It just kind of surprised us. Got in, and wasnt said welcome, or HI, or anything, all the rude guy said was "$10", I said "WHAT"? guy "$10", I said "really?", gave him the money, went in, thinking it was going to be a cool place, WRONG. ordered our drinks, then the bartender decided to go wait on someone else before he got us our order, after making us wait a while, while he talked to another bartender. Was just bad service, Its like you gotta spend money to be rude to. I'm not a cheapy, but $10 on a thursday at 9pm?? thats a joke.....
