Sansom Street Gym

A different sort of gym...
It may technically be a gym, but a different sort of all-body workout is the norm here. Check the website for daily specials and events.

This is the worst bath house I ever seen.

This place is off the beaten path from the gayborhood in Center City Rittenhouse Square area. From the time you walk in you can tell the management and staff are unprofessional. Anytime you allow clientele to walk around in street clothes or you can smell it legal drugs in the facility. Also the parents that have people living here as well. It does not feel like a place that people come to relax and enjoy ourselves. The lounge area is very cluttered. And I won't ever visit this place again. My best friend wanted to stop in here for his birthday and we simply did not stay as that long paid for a room that was not quite desirable. So we wind up heading to the gayborhood where we spent the night at another bathhouse that was excellent Clean safe and friendly staff... And the guys follow the bath house dress code no one was in street clothes and you did not smell any illegal drugs

I'm surprised by the bad reviews...

The last review I see was about a year ago - so either this place has changed A LOT, or the review is bogus - I was there yesterday and think I might head back real late tonight - I liked the place, and I've been to these places all throughout the US, Canada and Europe (and China but women did the f*cking there)...the place was clean, there was soap in every shower (I checked because of the reviews), everything seemed to be working except for one area at the end of the hall where the saunas are, it was closed off and being repaired or painted. The top floor maze, sling room and table/cross rooms are small but very fun :) I got what I needed, a few times.

Not what it used to be

This place has gone way down hill.. Help is rude, showers are gross.. Most don't even have soap dispensers.. And good luck getting hot water.. Plants on the deck are half dead, and they start some renovations/ painting that a kindergartner could do a better job at.. I most likely won't be back...

The Filthiest Bathhouse in Filthadelphia

Most importantly: There is no soap in the showers. I kid you not. Stall after stall with no soap dispensers. No soap at a bathhouse. How can they legally stay open? What do guys do after they f*ck? The sheets haven't been bleached. The saunas aren't fully functional, and there are construction materials left across the premises. The rules say no clothes in the bathhouse, but half the guys are fully clothed. Guys walk around the place with their camera phones. WTF? Make sure no one takes a picture of you there. The guy at the front desk yells at you if you ring the doorbell to enter. Sansom Street Gym, which bills itself as the cleanest baths in the city, is one of the filthiest bathhouses and certainly the most dilapidated. Not even the lights in the rooms work. Do yourself a favor, don't come here.
