One last visit
I waited until the place reopened. I went on a Saturday night, which should be the best time of the week and I wanted to enjoy the new place. New tile and some additional lockers does not improve a bathhouse that has no customers. It cost an incredible $40 dollars to get in and there was no one there. The stairs are still steep and treacherous and the floors so uneven you must watch every step, but more than all that.... EMPTY. And the attendants were nice and other patrons say it is hit or miss. Well, the misses have won out this time. At that cost of admission, they have killed this place for good. I won't chance another evening in this place, where are lots of changes and NO improvements. Putting up two slings is fine, but if they are empty all the time, what's the point? And there is slick condom porn everywhere you look reminding yourself of why you went there and what you are NOT experiencing. Stay home, you'll have more fun there, by yourself.
Good facilities...Hot time!
I visited Club Philly for the first time on a Saturday night in August and don’t get why previous reviewers were so harsh. It was a fairly large, mixed crowd of guys – no attitude that I noticed. The staff was friendly, and the place seemed quite clean. I got a locker but noticed that the rooms were indeed relatively small and rather oddly arranged. I mostly liked that Club Philly has a number of different play areas: dungeon, orgy room, and bi-level glory hole room in the basement along with the dry sauna, steam room and gang showers; small porn lounge on the second floor; dark room maze and small porn lounge on the third floor; larger porn lounge on the fouth floor. On the first floor kink videos played to an empty room in the otherwise unused performance area. There was plenty of hot action throughout the building. However, you do get a good workout going up and down all the stairs. The first floor lounge was comfortable enough with free coffee available for reenergizing (as well as snacks for purchase), and the outdoor (smoking) deck was an inviting place to relax. Most convenient availability of condoms I’ve seen so far. It’s perhaps a bit more expensive than the competition, but I had a lot of fun and think Club Philly has more to offer for a hot night out with the guys than other establishments in the northeast. I definitely recommend.
Not my style
After trying Sansom Gym the night before, I expected lots from this sauna. I was very disappointed indeed. The rooms are minuscule, the staircases narrow and steep, the facilities were average......and no lube anywhere. Even though it was half price Sunday, it's still pretty expensive. Stick to the Sansom Street...you'll enjoy it more.
Recommend this place
I had a nice visit of Club Philly. It was just refinished and seems fairly clean. The man at the front desk was very nice. Just wish more people knew about this place.. I'll go back again!
