What is this yearâs theme?
This yearâs theme is âsurviving, thrivingâ (#TransThriving). This acknowledges the number of major transgender achievements in the past 12 months. In this increasingly transphobic global political climate, we must use our newfound visibility to mobilize trans people against oppression. Visibility is not enough alone to bring transgender liberation. However, we can use visibility as a vital tool for transgender justice.
THRIVE: A TRANS JUSTICE ART EXHIBIT & RECEPTION,
is a celebration of Trans ARTivism, beauty and self-determination. All works are created by trans and non-binary individuals from across the country, provided by "Forward Together". In the lineage of our "Transcestors", this awe-inspiring exhibit fuels the struggle against white supremacy and transmisogyny. JOIN US ON TRANS DAY OF VISIBILITY AND LET'S THRIVE!
