A Waste of Time

I ate lunch here on Friday, May 28, 2010. The crowd was older men. I don't think that any guy there was under 50. However, 2 younger guys did come in a little later. The food was okay. I orderd caesar salad with chicken. It was okay. It wasn't the greatest chicken caesar salad that I've ever had. I asked the server and 2 of the patrons about the Philly gay scene and they were not enthusiastic about it at all. They were not helpful at all in guiding me to other gay spots that I should go to. I will not be returning to Knock. When I return to Philly I'm going to explore other gay spot. Knock did not impress me.

These other reviews must be written by friends.

This place sucked. Yes, it is upscale, but the fun stopped there. The service was slow, the bartenders pretentious, and the regulars unfriendly. The bartender actually yelled at us for trying to order drinks at the bar because there is (supposedly) wait service! Well, our waiter ws spending his time chatting with friends at the table next to ours and didn't even ackowledge us when he saw us sit down. He finally served us and then took someone elses order between serving us and giving us change! I will say it's probably fun if you go with friends, drink martinis, know the bartenders, and don't mind waiting a long time for drinks. With all the other bars with efficient staff and friendly clients why waste your time and money?

Wonderful Place for drinks!

Glad to finally find a bar that is NOT a dump! This is a very upscale bar with friendly bartenders and a good friendly crowd. Also has a great restaurant within it. Wonderful happy hour crowd that extends thru the entire evening. Anybody visiting Philadelphia certainly needs to put this on their list of places to go first!
