This bar/restaurant reminds me of Cheers. The buffalo chicken friends is big enough for two and taste great. It has a mixed crowd, with a restaurant downstars and an open space upstairs where I saw a karaoke show on a Thursday night. A must visit in Philadelphia.
Just what I needed
I am new to the city so I was very relieved to find an establishment that was so welcoming such as Tabu. The staff treated me like family from the time sat down at the bar. I continuously go about once a week for their karaoke Monday which always has an awesome crowd.
If they have it on tap, try the Abita Purple Haze.

tabu is a great place to watch a game and grab a bite to eat or pregame before a night out dancing. Nice crowd, good prices, friendly staff... will just what philly needed.
Great kithcen in addition to a really friendly bar. Try the $2 taco special on Tuesdays.
