If you looking for a manly man this is definitely the bar.
It seems like a back alley dive bar. But once you get inside of their you see some of the hottest manliest men especially with hairy chest and beards. I like talking to the rugged type country type men. Me and my best friend when we bar hop in Center City gayborhood this is one of the best places to end the night....

      Fun and fetishy
I was in Philly for vacation and decided to check out the local leather bar. I went here twice - on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Tuesday was very slow, with only the main bar open. The bartender was friendly, and I met one local guy who was fun. Wednesday was better - it was underwear night. I checked out the upstairs, which is more of a quiet, sports bar vibe. I never made it downstairs, which is supposed to be where more of the fun happens, but there were a lot of guys in their underwear in the main bar (which I didn't expect - I though that only happened downstairs). Overall, this was a fun place - probably more fun on the weekends. Try it, if you're in Philly. I think you'll have fun!

      Never Again!
A friend and I were visiting Philadelphia on business. We went to the Bike Stop because friends of ours had recommended it. The bar is dingy, the staff is extremely unfriendly, and the crowd was just as unfriendly. Could it be that Philadelphia lives in the gay shadow of New York City? My friend and I visited leather bars there and had a great time with guys who were in a bar to have a good time and not practice their "don't look my way, bitch" attitudes. New York-world class city/Philadelphia-province.

      " I'm in mental pain"
My partner, who doesn't have a computer, would like to review this bar: " I loved the bar at first, but I don't like the ignorance, and I don't like the mind games. What I don't like is that I was accused of sniffing people without permission when I did ask permission. I was being considerate and nice and still someone pulled me to the side and accused me. I'm extremely p'd off".

      Best Bar in Philly
I had fun during their underwear night. The bar has three levels: upstairs is the sports bar, the main level is the regular bar, and downstairs is the "play" area which is only open during certain times and where you can get away with a little bit more. Definitely edgier, more playful, and more fun then anything in Boston. Great space and location down a quaint alley in the Gayborhood.

      Could feel the sexual energy
We are an attractive M/F, married bisexual couple that loved the lustful, sexual atmosphere. We felt very welcomed and left very, very happy. We would love to see more bi - couples like us hanging out there.

Not All the Bears Went Over the Mountain
Formerly a 5 Star "must be seen at" bar, the Bike Stop has changed, like who goes there now. The bikers still get there "when in Center City." There are other places to go now. Leather men show up elsewhere too. Pit Stop still is THE BEST for leather and accessories in Philly. The Happy Hour program is awesome to see; best in Philly. Sports and Dance levels are as hot as the customers make it; and they can be hotter! When they decide to upgrade the lights (replace burned out ones) I hope they clean first. I always wanted food service there too. A decent sandwich. But to this day I miss coming in and being greeted by my favorite barkeep and getting a little "sugar" to start off the evening. Yes, I still drop in now and then to rub heads with the twinks hoping to see more of the ol bears who went over the hill. The history and body of Gay knowledge there is a phenom to experience and with respect to safety, you can have so much fun there.

      best bar ever
i loved this bar when i live in philly and i miss it every time i go out since i've come to tampa. it's the only bar i've been to in either city where a) i am friendly with all the bartenders and b) i can say things and get laughter where in other bars i get guffaws from nelly queens. it will be the first place i go when i get to philly again.

      Stay in the pit.
The top floors are fairly standard modern "leatherbar" fare... But the basement is truly a special place that needs to be seen to be appreciated. Everything in the pit is cruisy, from the lighting, to the music, to the clientele. Be prepared to watch a parade of twinks wander through the room wearing white tennis shoes throughout the night, but it's not a big deal since they will be too intimidated to actually look in your direction if you're dressed appropriately for the bar. It's unfortunate that the pit is no longer filled wall-to-wall with men in leather, but it's not going to get any better if everybody sits at home on their computer to bitch instead of getting geared up and going out to cruise.

      Not worth the stop!
This used to be the most fun bar in Philly a decade or so ago. But the years have not been kind to the BS. All the good bartenders left for greener pastures and the staff that remains are rude and arrogant or Woody's wannabes (same difference)! The building is falling apart and is ready to be condemned. And the clientele that remains only go there because they are not welcome anywhere else. That is when there are actual customers in the joint. This place has really gone downhill. Definitely not worth the stop!

      Monday's
Wear your fav jockstrap, wore mine and got plenty attention. A place to let go and show off your bare ass on Mondays. Not a flashy place, but a break from the gossip and bitchy attitude.
