Widely considered the best piano bar in the city, at the Tavern on Camac, there is no shortage of locals & regulars who love great music and lively conversation. Boasting three separate spaces, each with its own ambiance and vibe, spending your evening here will quickly become a regular occurrence.
Begin your night by stopping into The Tavern Restaurant for some wholesome and tasty American fare. The cocktails offered here will transport you back in time when Sazeracs and 'dark & stormies' were all the rage. The decor however is modern & minimalist, perfect for a romantic date or family dinner.
After filling up on delicious food head on back to the sparkly and intimate piano bar for some world-class entertainment! Offering sensational performances until the wee hours of the morning, each featured performer will serenade you with favorite songs from throughout the ages.
Round out your evening by heading up to the top floor and dancing the night away! If you are new in town, you will very quickly meet marvelous people here to frolic and play with. Be sure to try some of the specialty cocktails while you're up there!
the worst bar ever
Avoid at all cost....many other friendlier bars in the area....talk about ugly bartenders!!!
Always a good time !
Love the staff here always friendly and fun . It has something for everyone , dinner , dancing or just chilling !
Nice Piano Bar
My friends and I stopped in yesterday afternoon. Not a lot of people were there yet, but those who were were very friendly. Immaculately clean. The piano was actually being tuned, which I have never before seen in a piano bar. The only negative: they didn't have Bloody Marys.
absolutely love tavern for years
Have been coming here s o nice it was Raffles...lol.
Love this place and now that it's reopened one floor at a t one it has even more improvements.
Cannot wait for the third floor.
Only negative review I have is some of the bartenders as I'm writing this review have spent more time on their cell phones and talking to each other instead of there guest.
It is slow.
I can more then entertain myself. ..
Just an observation
But overall love tavern
TOC
This is my favorite bar to socialize in Philly. The atmosphere is a mix of friendly conversation, party, song & dance. It's clean & comfortable. The clientele & bartenders are very friendly & attentive. I like it because it reminds me of the kind of place I enjoyed going to in New York that also had a piano bar.
fun love it
Best Piano Bar
If you like to sing-a-long, then don't miss Tavern on Camac, where everyone is friendly!
Enjoyable.
I enjoyed this Bar/dance club very much. It is a great place to go to on Friday nights.
Thursday nights wth Ghosha
My favorite night at the piano bar.... by far the most talented of the performers there... this girl's got it.....
Could it be THAT great?
On a Saturday night the downstairs piano bar was totally packed, but no one was listening to the player or the singers, they were all waiting in a never-ending, never-moving line to go upstairs to what locals described as the tiny dance floor. Drinks were VERY strong and well priced, and the clientele was attractive, but I can't imagine that anything was so great upstairs as to wait in that ridiculous line. If you want an actual piano bar experience, get on a train and go to New York. And if you want a dance floor, find a club that's actually big enough to have one.
a laid back club
Tavern on Camac is a laid back atmosphere, altought not necessarily a place to get to know people more likely a place to go as a group. But they do have a variety of things going on from a piano player to dancing. Unfortunately, it is just about the best that Philly has to offer.
Altough there seems to be a diverse crowd they all seem to know each other...or be in groups at any rate. However, unlike most of the other bars I went to, I did at least find one friendly bartender who was winning to talk to me about dinning possibilities etc.
sing along with the piano man!
visited the piano bar several times, and it is a BLAST! kevin lutz is a great pinao player, singer and stud muffin! be sure to stop and visit, place is packed on friday nights! bartenders are hot too! dont miss it if you visit the city of brotherly love!
