We stopped for drinks and stayed for a bite to eat. All the food evidently prepared from scratch, as things were brought out when they were ready. Clean as a whistle, friendly people. Everybody played Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune together.

Heart of the city
Disappointing!
The place has been in constant decline since the ownership changed about 3 years ago. It smells of bleach - is loud - the crowd is crude. The food is just BAD! I miss the old Venture!!!
My favorite bar in Philly
This is my favorite bar in Philly, but that is probably because I lucked out and met a hot guy there, and it was good as weekend, vacation romances go. In addition, I met a couple other people who were fairly friendly. Other than that, Venture Inn, like the rest of the gay scene in Philly seems to bascially ignore people who are visiting...at least that was my experience.
